HotSpot parking is up and running in Lunenburg!

In addition to traditional coin payment, the HotSpot parking payment option is now available at all of the 200+ parking meters in Lunenburg. We have received a few questions since rolling out HotSpot last month and here are a few of the most commonly asked…
So just what is HotSpot?
HotSpot is a mobile payment platform that allows users to pay for parking and to top up their parking time by using their cell phones.
Do I have to use HotSpot?
While using the App comes with numerous advantages, you can still use change at every meter in Lunenburg.
Do I need to download anything?
To use the App, yes, but you can also do a quick scan or you if you’re not up for a change, can still use change to pay!
Where can I find the HotSpot App?
You can find the HotSpot App online at the Google Play Store and the at the Apple App Store. If you decide to download the app, here is what to look for…

PUBLIC WORKS NOTICE: MAY 22 WATER SHUT OFF

ℹ️ IMPORTANT WATER REAPAIR UPDATE ℹ️
Public Works is completing the work to repair the water leak in the areas of Lawrence Street/ Creighton Street/Kissing Bridge Road/Duke Street/Cornwallis Street/Prince Street & Hopson Street below Creighton Street and on York Street and service will be fully restored shortly.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience.
With water service returning, we suggest running a cold water faucet into your bathtub or sink in case of any air discoloration until it runs normally.

Due to a water leak, Public Works needs to turn the water off in the areas of Lawrence St, Creighton St, Kissing Bridge Rd, and Duke St. to complete the repairs, today (Friday, May 22), from approximately Noon-7pm. The Public Works crew is going door to door to notify the affected customers.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience.
It is recommended that residents in the affected area turn off hot water systems as this outage continues. Once the water service is resumes, we suggest running a cold water faucet into your bathtub or sink in case of any air discoloration until it runs normally.

Bluenose Drive Public Washroom is now open

The Bluenose Drive Public Washroom is now open for the season. It will be open every day between 8am-9pm until late October.
Additional Public Washrooms can be found at:
Town Hall (119 Cumberland St.)
- Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm
Community Centre (15 Green St.)
- Monday-Saturday from 9am-5pm
Zwicker Building (146 Bluenose Dr.)
- every day from 9am to 9pm
