2024 Municipal & Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) Elections

Elections in the Town of Lunenburg

Every four years, the Town of Lunenburg holds a general election for both Town of Lunenburg Council and the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial’s (CSAP) South-Shore area school board members.

The next Municipal and Conseil scolaire acadien provincial Election is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024.

The Town of Lunenburg has a seven-member council. In our council system, councillors are elected "at large," meaning they represent the entire town rather than specific districts or wards. This means that each councillor is responsible for addressing the concerns and needs of all residents in Lunenburg, rather than focusing on a particular geographic area within the town.

The Town of Lunenburg is represented by one (1) member of the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) for the electoral District of South Shore. This district includes the Municipality of the Districts of Lunenburg and Chester, the Region of Queens, and the Towns of Bridgewater, Mahone Bay, and Lunenburg.
