Bluenose Academy - for Grades Primary to Nine, the Bluenose Academy ensures students can obtain complete primary and elementary education in Lunenburg. Ecole de la Rive-Sud is a francophone Acadian school located in Cookville, Nova Scotia.We offer quality French-language education to Grade 12 students in the Growing Up French program. In addition to the "French as a First Language" course, students will study "English as a First Language" from the 4th year.In high school, students can complete their high school credits by taking online courses, videoconferences, on-site courses and COOP courses.

Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance

LAMP - Welcome to the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance. We provide carefully selected young performers a tranquil environment where they can concentrate on their music development and their artistic growth. Residents are given the opportunity to expand their artistic insights through interaction with the distinguished faculty, the resident Master, and their fellow residents. This is an ideal environment for individual musicians and ensembles to prepare performances, auditions, recordings, competitions, and to expand the repertoire. Regular public concerts will be scheduled to ensure that all residents have an opportunity to perform before a live audience.

Lunenburg Day Care Centre provides an appropriate play experience to build an important foundation for the future. Full and part-day rates available for children 3 months - 12 years. Special needs children accepted. Nutritional meals and snacks provided.

Nova Scotia Community College

Nova Scotia Community College - The Lunenburg Campus in Bridgewater and the Town of Lunenburg is one of 18 campuses in the Province. The college offers Advanced Education and Job Training in the trades, technical, technological and applied art fields. Courses are designed to assist trainees to acquire the skills and knowledge and develop the attitudes and habits necessary to enter and make progress in their chosen occupations.

South Shore Public Libraries

South Shore Public Libraries is a vital centre of the community, sharing a robust collection and innovative technology, that inspires lifelong learning and literacy in a positive, welcoming environment.

South Shore Centre for Education

South Shore Centre for Educationentre for Education was formed in August 2004, when the Province of Nova Scotia dissolved the Southwest Regional School Board and created two regional Boards – SSRSB and Tri-County Regional School Board. SSRSB is responsible for providing education to the 59,000 residents of Lunenburg and Queens counties, an area of 5250 square kilometres.

Universities

The Province of Nova Scotia is well known for its many universities. Lunenburg is a one-hour drive from Halifax and Dartmouth where universities, colleges, institutes and private schools can meet most education needs. Nova Scotia Universities offer distance education courses in Lunenburg County.
