NOT Wanted in our Wastewater System – Fats, Oil or Grease
- Details
- Published: Monday, 10 March 2025 08:45
When warm fats are poured down your sink they cool, harden and can stick to the inside of your sewer pipe or in Town sewer mains. Over time, this build up causes “fatbergs” that blocks sewer infrastructure – and costs everyone’s tax dollars to repair. You can help!
Never pour grease down any drain. Scrape dishes and cookware and dispose of in your green bin/compost cart
Everyday examples of the above: cooking oils, meat fats, dairy products, sauces & dressings, butter and lard.
