At the April 11, 2023 Council meeting, the public is welcome to attend and make comment on the following items:
- Public hearing: Proposed Amendments to the LUB – Delete Schedule “G” Vending
At its March 14, 2023 meeting, Council approved first reading of an amendment to the Land Use By-Law (LUB) to delete Schedule “G” Vending.
At the April 11, 2023 meeting, Council is scheduled to approve a new Vending By-law. If approved, this bylaw will regulate all vending activities within the Town. Currently, there are some vending provisions in the Town’s Land Use By-law (LUB). With the adoption of a new Vending By-law, having any regulations for vending in the LUB is not necessary.
- Public input: Proposed Vending Bylaw
At its Feb. 28, 2023 meeting, Council approved first reading of a new Vending By-law. The intent of the Vending By-law is to set out a process to regulate vending within the Town of Lunenburg. If approved, the by-law will allow food trucks (mobile canteens) and other vending opportunities throughout town on public and private lands, including seven locations on Town streets.
This meeting will take place on April 11, 2023 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall (120 Townsend St., second floor, back entrance). Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The public is also welcome to submit written comments for Council’s consideration. Written submissions should be received by Tuesday, April 4 to be included in the Council Agenda Package. Submissions can be sent to:
