April 28, 2022 – The Town of Lunenburg has hired Jamie Doyle as their new permanent Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Born and raised on Cape Breton Island, Jamie comes to Lunenburg from Fort McMurray, Alberta with over 15 years of municipal government experience. He served the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as the CAO, Deputy CAO, as well as the Director of Planning and Development.
He has a degree in Community Design from Dalhousie University, a Municipal Executive Certification from the University of Alberta, and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Project Management.
"I am delighted to have an opportunity to come back to Nova Scotia and work for the Town of Lunenburg,” he said. “After visiting the community and Town Council I am excited to work alongside such a progressive group and play my part in continuing to make Lunenburg a great place to live, work and play."

Jamie begins his new duties on July 4, 2022.
